*The Role*
We're looking for an experienced *Commercial Gas & Heating Engineer* to join our growing team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, and repairs across a wide range of commercial heating and hot water systems throughout Devon & Cornwall.
You'll work on commercial boilers, plant rooms, water heaters, warm air units, and associated heating systems across schools, hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities, and commercial premises.
Installation and commissioning experience would be an advantage but isn't essential.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to use your technical skills while building long-term relationships with customers who value quality workmanship.
- *Key Responsibilities*
- Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and heating systems
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Reactive breakdown repairs
- Installation and commissioning work (desirable)
- Complete job sheets, Gas Safety documentation, and compliance records
- Work safely and professionally on customer sites
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Participate in a well-managed on-call rota
- *What You'll Need Essential*
- Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1, COCATA, ICPN1 or equivalent)
- Proven experience working on commercial gas and heating systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A practical understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
- *Desirable*
- The following qualifications would be a real advantage but aren't essential:
- COMCAT 1 – Commercial Catering Appliances
- COMCAT 3 – Commercial Dishwashers & Glasswashers
- COMCAT 5 – Commercial Laundry Equipment
