We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing building services maintenance team covering a portfolio of high-end residential developments across Central London. This role is focused on the maintenance of landlord building services and plant room infrastructure, with no apartment maintenance responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical plant and associated building services systems across a number of prestigious residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer looking for a stable mobile role with a well-established maintenance provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across landlord mechanical plant
  • Maintenance and fault finding on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, pressurisation units and HVAC systems
  • Plant room inspections and routine maintenance
  • Maintenance of heating, hot water and ventilation systems
  • Basic plumbing repairs and mechanical remedial works
  • Monitor plant performance and identify potential issues before failure
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and plant breakdowns
  • Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation accurately
  • Liaise professionally with residents, site teams, managing agents and contractors
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience within commercial or high-end residential building maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of landlord plant and building services systems
  • Experience working on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and HVAC plant
  • Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Professional and client-facing approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Water Hygiene / Legionella Awareness
  • Experience within luxury residential environments
  • Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge
