We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join a well-maintained office building in Central London on a 3-month temporary contract. Working on behalf of the landlord, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive fabric maintenance, ensuring the building is maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across building fabric
- Attend and resolve reactive maintenance issues
- General building repairs including carpentry, painting, and decorating
- Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, taps, toilets, drainage)
- Minor patch plastering and making good
- Door maintenance (locks, hinges, closers)
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Liaise with site management and other engineers where required
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience within a commercial maintenance / FM environment
- Strong all-round fabric maintenance skillset
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Health & safety awareness
