Purpose

  • To provide a very high level of service to our customers across all fire engineering sectors
  • To liaise with clients, manage projects from inception to completion
  • To mentor graduate fire engineers and review fire engineering work prepared by others


General Responsibilities / Specific Dutie

  • sProvide continuous, high-quality fire engineering services to our customers, including but not limited to
  • :Develop fire safety strategies and associated mark-ups for various buildings and infrastructure project
  • sProvide advisory support and carry out site visits during the construction stag
  • ePrepare assessment reports of external wall system
  • sPrepare other technical engineering analysis such as CFD and evacuation modelling, using programs such as FDS/PyroSim, Pathfinde
  • rThird party reviews and design verificatio
  • nHave a clear understanding of fire safety issues and provide well supported fire engineered solutions through the selection of appropriate methods and tool
  • sBe familiar with relevant legislation and design guidance such as Approved Document B (ADB), BS 9999, BS 9991 and BS 797
  • 4Identify new work opportunities with clients and other professionals, engage actively with potential clients and prepare / review fee proposal letter
  • sManage projects from inception to completion and be responsible for the associated invoicin
  • gWork reliably, professionally and effectively with others (internally and externally), manage time effectively (including regularly filling in timesheets) and operate within the limits of competenc
  • yWork within a team environment and be able to instruct (Graduate) fire engineers and support staff in their work as well as to provide support to directors and associates when require
