Empire Law is a dedicated criminal defence practice based In Leeds and is seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join their close-knit team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on a varied caseload, representing clients at police stations, Magistrates’ Courts, and Crown Courts, from initial advice through to trial preparation. The firm is committed to high-quality client care and maintaining a strong reputation for advocacy. Key Responsibilities: Advising and representing clients at all stages of the criminal justice process. Managing a varied criminal defence caseload from start to finish. Preparing legal documents, drafting statements, and conducting legal research. Attending conferences with counsel and liaising with external agencies as required. Ensuring clients are fully informed and supported throughout their case. Requirements: Qualified Solicitor with criminal defence experience (1+ PQE preferred). Strong advocacy skills and comprehensive knowledge of criminal law and procedure. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload under pressure.
