We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Brickwork Foreman to lead and oversee bricklaying operations on construction sites. This pivotal role involves managing a team of skilled bricklayers, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Brickwork Foreman will coordinate daily activities, interpret blueprints and schematics, and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and project timelines. Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate bricklaying crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide team activities and ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor construction progress, adjust schedules as needed, and communicate updates to project managers.
  • Enforce safety standards by conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Manage quality control by inspecting work for adherence to schematics, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Utilize construction management software such as Safety Cloud.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and management teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on brickwork or masonry projects.
  • Supervising experience on construction sites with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with Ohmmeter testing is a plus.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Experience in budgeting and project scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £260.00-£280.00 per day
