We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Officer to support us in raising awareness, strengthening our brand, and engaging key audiences. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will support the team in delivering the communications strategy, with opportunities for mentoring to develop your skills. This role focuses on carrying out Empire Fighting Chance’s marketing strategy to boost brand awareness, create content for digital and print platforms, and manage social media to grow online engagement. It also supports fundraising and partnerships while ensuring all materials reflect the organisation’s brand and values. Additionally, the role involves tracking marketing performance to maximise impact. Aligning our marketing with our strategic aims: Deliver, Train, Fight – this role is perfect for someone who thrives on storytelling, attention to detail, and creating impactful campaigns through storytelling.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver: Promote Programmes & Impact – Develop social media content, blogs, videos, and case studies that showcase the successes of our programmes. Design marketing assets to support our Head of Fundraising team and other in-house activities. Elevate Empire as a Centre of Excellence through digital campaigns and storytelling. Lead youth-led content, supporting TikTok/Instagram takeovers and short films. Engage our internal teams through staff newsletters/programme updates.
  • Train: Strengthen Partnerships & Networks – Maintain brand consistency, embedding 'The Empire Way' across content. Ensure youth safeguarding, secure consent, and anonymise stories. Align messaging across programmes, fundraising, and partnerships. Track content performance through analytics, contributing to key reports.
  • Fight: Drive Fundraising & Advocacy – Create fundraising campaigns, donor appeals, and marketing materials. Amplify youth advocacy through testimonies, podcasts, and policy content. Manage social media growth, optimising content using Google Analytics/Hootsuite. Support ambassador storytelling, including alumni and community engagement.

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience in marketing, digital communications, or content creation (either through education or previous experience).
  • Knows how to use data to manage social media, including Google Analytics and audience engagement.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Creative mindset, able to think innovatively and drive engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Detail oriented, focused, and able to complete tasks in an effective and timely manner.
  • A passion for social impact, youth voice, boxing/sports advocacy or the charity sector preferred.
