The role

The Finance Intern will support the finance and digital support teams with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on experience across invoicing, expense processing and data analysis, providing excellent exposure to the commercial and operational workings of Emperor.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Review and finalise client invoices for a designated office, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
  • Monitor invoicing queries and liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in an organised manner.
  • Process and review employee expenses, resolving queries from individuals across the business.
  • Gain exposure to and experience across the finance function to be able to support the wider team where required.
  • Raise purchase orders for approval by management.

Digital & Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the digital function, including but not limited to the monthly billing of support & hosting clients as contracts fall due.
  • Process monthly credit card claims for the digital team in line with company policy, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and sufficient supporting documentation is held on file.

Other:

  • Assist with basic financial and operational data analysis.
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
  • Assist on information requests during the group annual audit.

Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a finance team preferable, but not essential.
  • Currently studying towards (or recently completed) a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Confident with Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
