The Role

In the London headquarters of the wider independent, employee-owned Emperor agency we have an impressive and diverse brand and employee engagement client portfolio – including Reckitt, BT, Lindt, Clarksons, NFU Mutual, Standard Life and Lloyds Banking Group.

We have grown to almost £3m annual brand and employee engagement revenue, but there is huge, untapped potential for further growth.

This is why we're looking for a dynamic Director of Brand & Engagement who has the credibility, drive and experience to be a senior leader within the agency, reporting directly to the CEO.

The role requires credibility in terms of brand and engagement consulting expertise, particularly in our core domain of corporate and B2B brand development and activation, but it also requires strong commercial, practice leadership, business development and relationship-building skills, ensuring that more of our existing and potential client base buy in to our brand and engagement services.

We have a strong team of experienced brand and engagement consultants who need an inspiring leader to support individual and collective growth.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the growth of the Brand & Engagement practice - developing, implementing and reporting on a strategic growth plan to the board.
  • Creation of brand and engagement opportunities through networking, content development, marketing and new business activity - with the support of the specialist teams around you.
  • Working closely with our director of client services and our community of client directors to find ways to expand more existing relationships into brand and engagement.
  • Working with your peers in our specialist areas of expertise - Reporting, Sustainability, Digital and AI to develop innovative new insights, services and solutions that ensure that our integrated, multi-disciplinary offer stays relevant and attractive to clients and prospects.
  • A portion of your time dedicated to working directly with major clients as a senior specialist consultant where appropriate to deliver brilliant solutions and sustained client growth.
  • Building productive relationships with our extensive network of referrer agencies, particularly PR agencies.
  • Leadership of our team of specialist team of consultants.

As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply and would encourage you to let us know if there are steps we can take to ensure that your recruitment process enables you to present yourself in a way that makes you comfortable.
