The predicted salary is between 37212 - 38162 £ per year.

Salary: £37,212.34 per annum (including sleep-in shifts), increasing to £38,162.85 per annum after successful completion of the probation period.

Location: Derby

Contract: Full-time (approx. 56.4 hours per week including sleeps)

Rota: 1 day on, 2 days off (08:00-23:00 + sleep)

Responsibilities

  • Support young people aged 8-18 who present with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
  • Help young people develop positive routines, build confidence, and move towards independence.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People/Residential Childcare or willingness to complete it
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practice
  • Experience in residential childcare is desirable but not essential for the right person

Working Pattern

  • Three-week rolling rota (1 day on, 2 days off)
  • Sleep-ins included within contracted hours and paid during annual leave
