Salary: £37,212.34 per annum (including sleep-in shifts), increasing to £38,162.85 per annum after successful completion of the probation period.
Location: Derby
Contract: Full-time (approx. 56.4 hours per week including sleeps)
Rota: 1 day on, 2 days off (08:00–23:00 + sleep)
About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to support young people aged 8–18 who present with emotional and behavioural challenges. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment while helping young people develop positive routines, build confidence, and move towards independence.

Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People/Residential Childcare or willingness to complete it
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practice
- Experience in residential childcare is desirable but not essential for the right person
Working Pattern
- Three-week rolling rota (1 day on, 2 days off)
- Sleep-ins included within contracted hours and paid during annual leave
