About the Role
We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to support our Registered Manager within a 1-bedded therapeutic EBD Children’s Home in Derby.

Key Responsibilities
- Co-manage home budgets and resources efficiently
- Oversee staff development, supervision, and appraisals
- Support and guide the care team in delivering therapeutic parenting approaches
- Maintain and update placement plans, risk assessments, and care records
- Promote the wellbeing, growth, and independence of young people in placement
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or supervising staff in a children’s residential setting
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent (Level 4+ desirable)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practice
- Full UK driving licence (essential, due to on‑call requirements)
- Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends, and sleep‑ins
- Commitment to continuous professional development
