To create Nests for the Trumpf CNC Punching and TruBend centre machines using BOOST (Trumpf) nesting software and RADAN nesting software. Maximising material usage and minimising waste while ensuring that the production process is efficient and cost-effective.
Primary Objectives:
- Operation of RADAN & BOOST nesting software, ensuring that the cutting tools, machines, and other equipment are correctly configured for the nesting process, often working closely with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operators or machine programmers.
- Understanding of drawings/technical information.
- Collaboration with other teams.
- Continuous Improvement of products and processes.
- Ensuring adherence to Quality Procedures and Health and Safety protocols.
- Improving production efficiency.
- Adherence to Safety Standards.
- Demonstrate leadership by consistently upholding and modelling the highest standards of safety, quality, and workplace behaviour, setting a positive example for others to follow.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or tasks as requested by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support operational needs and business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for Role:
- Proficiency with nesting software and cutting machine technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of material properties, cutting techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
- Understanding of SolidWorks files.
- Understanding of Trumpf machines would be advantageous.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent time management ability.
- Detail-conscious.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
- Flexible approach.
- A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production.
- Trumpf or similar Punch machinery programming experience.
