An exciting opportunity to join a high growth distribution business based in East Yorkshire. The business has seen significant growth and as part of their strategic plan to continue this, they’re hiring for a Business Development Manager to work across the UK. This role is focused on new business; however, it will include a combination of warm incoming leads as well as self-generation from the successful Business Development Manager.
As the Business Development Manager you will report to the Head of Sales and be responsible for:
- Create opportunities and maximise warm leads to convert into meetings
- Negotiate and secure contracts with prospects
- Presenting their offering with the aim of converting into a client
- Pipeline, sales revenue and CRM management
- Working across a diverse customer base, identifying opportunities for new areas
- Building long-term relationships with customers
- Collaborate with Account Management Team on repeat spenders and the handover period from new business to an existing account
- Continuous understanding of markets by researching new trends
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards in each area
As the Business Development Manager you should have the following competencies:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoy sales and the process of securing new business
- A track record of hitting revenue targets consistently in a B2B environment
- Regulated industry experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience providing solution-based sales on a client brief would be advantageous
- Knowledge of CRM system
- Experience in a Field-Sales role UK wide would be advantageous
