An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accounts assistant to join a well-established family-run group of businesses which include a premium food wholesaler as well as a PPE Distribution specialist and a Fire and Defence protective equipment specialist who supply it to the UK and European Market. As they continue to grow, they require an accounts assistant to join their existing team. The role is primarily Purchase Ledger focused with an element of Credit Control across three of their sites. The successful applicant will be expected to support their team with all things necessary to support the business.
- Entering purchase invoices β match to purchase orders and delivery notes. Any price discrepancies to be raised with the stock controller.
- Review the reserve list weekly.
- Review reserve list weekly for missing invoices.
- Posting Direct Debits and amounts not on Creditors to Nominal Ledgers and bank accounts.
- Assist with year-end audit requests.
- Maintain Cashflow for 3 entities.
- Manage Credit control function for Moordale foods.
- Investigate credit requests and raise credit notes.
- Send final demand letters and raise CCJ when necessary.
- Compile bad debtor listings at month end and year end.
- Aim to keep overdue debt below 3% of the ledger.
