An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to join one of the UK's leading manufacturing businesses, supplying businesses across the country their bespoke solutions. Known for delivering high-quality results under pressure, they continue to grow and require a skilled Payroll Officer to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees to deadline, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data and records held
- Process payroll records and employee data in accordance with company policies, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements
- Handle pension contributions in line with statutory requirements
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees, management, and HMRC
- Reconciliation, upload, and submission of all HMRC liabilities online such as FPS, EPS/Year End & any other ad hoc discrepancies/queries. This includes all payment submissions as per HMRC's liability dates
- Assist with any other payroll-related tasks as required
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role or as a Payroll Officer
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
