An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hull Kingston Rovers, a well established rugby league organisation. Off the back of their treble winning season they are now hiring for a Finance Assistant to join their finance function with a real opportunity to progress. This is a very busy finance function with multiple entities and finance streams so would suit individuals who are up for a challenge, keen to learn or have experience working with multiple revenue streams in their current role.
As the successful Finance Assistant you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for the following:
- Accounts receivable – assist in the processing of invoices and registering them with the relevant departments.
- Accounts payable – assist in the processing of suppliers’ invoices in a timely fashion, ensuring they are complete with a purchase order and are in line with the budgeted figures.
- Working on multiple systems for different entities within the organisation.
- Working with multiple excel documents for their different revenue streams with examples such as retail & equipment.
- Experience with the completion of payroll would be advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to management accounts preparation & cash flow management would be advantageous but not essential.
The successful Finance Assistant will have the following attributes and experience to succeed:
- Confident, Diligent and Professional.
- Excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening).
- Effective time management/organisational skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Working to multiple deadlines and under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications: AAT Qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
