Broady Flow Control are specialists in the design and manufacture of pressure reducing, sustaining, relief and safety relief valves for major national and international industries including petrochemical and pharmaceutical plants, offshore production platforms, nuclear and conventional power stations, in a full range of standard and specialist materials.
Now is an exciting time to join the team as a Purchasing Officer. The successful candidate will work within the busy Purchasing Department and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, providing administrative support in the procurement process, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient record-keeping, and smooth communication between suppliers and internal departments. This role involves managing purchase orders and maintaining databases.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain organised procurement records, including contracts, invoices, supplier details, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly filed.
- Assist in drafting reports, summaries, and presentations on procurement activities.
- Handle general correspondence with suppliers, responding to inquiries and following up on orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and any changes.
- Update internal databases and procurement systems with supplier and order details.
- Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase requisitions when needed.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist in preparing procurement reports for management review.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and records.
- Liaise with internal departments to confirm procurement requirements and delivery expectations.
- Arrange and schedule meetings with suppliers when required.
Basic academic achievement in core skills are required, preferably Maths and English, and good communication skills are essential.
