Böllhoff Group are looking for a hands-on and versatile Maintenance & Facilities Technician to join their Hull manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with a strong mechanical bias to play a key role in maintaining production equipment, coordinating site maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The successful candidate will support both production machinery and general facilities upkeep, carrying out preventative maintenance, organising contractors, fault-finding, and machinery improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
- Support reactive maintenance and mechanical fault-finding activities across the facility.
- Organise and coordinate external contractors for servicing, repairs, and compliance work.
- Carry out general site and facilities upkeep to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Carry out facilities-related checks including PAT testing, fire extinguisher inspections, smoke alarm testing, and general building maintenance.
- Support machinery investigations, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production facility.
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and process improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Previous experience within a maintenance engineering or facilities maintenance role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding ability.
- Experience carrying out PPM schedules and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Apprentice trained, NVQ qualified, time served, or City & Guilds qualified within an engineering discipline.
- A proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement and machinery optimisation.
- Ability to organise contractors and manage general site upkeep activities.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
DESIRABLE
- Basic machining skills including lathe, milling, or drilling machine experience.
- Experience supporting CI projects, root cause investigations, or machinery improvement activities.
- Facilities maintenance experience including PAT testing and fire safety checks.
- Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
