- WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Managing the Design and Technical Engineering team, providing the product designs and technical data required by manufacturing operations.
- Overseeing the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from order acceptance through to delivery, while meeting technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Responding to technical queries from internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Supporting production areas, including foundry, machining, assembly and testing, by troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Ensuring products comply with relevant industry standards and certifications, including ISO, PED, ASME, ATEX and API.
- Contributing to research, development and innovation initiatives in collaboration with Valvitalia's corporate strategy and innovation teams.
- Collaborating with senior management colleagues and providing regular updates to the General Manager and Director.
- WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Strong leadership, people-management and technical capabilities.
- Knowledge of or experience with valves or similar engineered products.
- A collaborative and results-focused management style, with the ability to develop people and drive performance.
- Proven experience managing complex workloads and delivering against customer requirements without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to analyse technical issues and implement practical solutions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), safety and HSE principles.
- Proficiency in CAD, Autodesk Inventor, CFD and other relevant engineering tools.
- Experience within an engineering or make-to-order manufacturing environment.
