Emporium charity shop relocating, not closing

Our Emporium charity shop remains open as normal while we look for new, more affordable shop premises in Hinckley.

For more than a decade, we’ve supported people rebuilding their lives after homelessness through accommodation, tailored support, training and work experience. Following a period of change, we’re now building a stronger and more sustainable future, creating an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Executive Officer to help shape the charity’s next chapter.

Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you’ll provide strategic leadership while overseeing the day-to-day management of the charity. You’ll lead the development of our future strategy, strengthen our retail operation, build partnerships with funders and stakeholders, and help develop a financially sustainable organisation that can support more people rebuilding their lives after homelessness.

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 pro rata
Hours: 21-28 hours per week
Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Reporting to: Board of Trustees
Closing date: Friday 30 October 2026
Interviews: 18-25 November 2026

We’re looking for an inspiring and collaborative leader with senior leadership experience, strong commercial and financial awareness, and the ability to build effective partnerships. Experience within the charity, housing, social care or public sector would be welcomed, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting people experiencing homelessness.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of an established local charity and make a lasting contribution to the communities we serve.
