About The King’s School (TKS): TKS is an independent Christian school managed within the Oxfordshire Community Churches Trust (OCC) catering to children of all abilities from Early Years to GCSEs. TKS opened in 1984 and has a track record of high academic standards while nurturing children in their Godly character and understanding of a biblical worldview in all subject areas. Currently the school has 201 children on roll from nursery through to Year 11. Governors are consulting with the Department for Education with a view to increasing the school’s NOR.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and inspire a Christ-centred school community as a centre of pastoral and academic excellence for all.
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure the delivery of a first-class education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Work with Governors, staff, and families to maintain the school’s values and vision during a period of growth.
  • Foster a welcoming, vibrant environment with motivated staff and engaged students from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Practising Christian.
  • Experience in headship or senior leadership (e.g., Head, Deputy Head, or Head of Department) with potential for first-step into Headship.
  • Background in either Independent or State sector.
