Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Work collaboratively with the EYFS Lead and teaching staff to ensure continuity and progression across Nursery and Reception.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence and a love of learning.
• Observe, assess and record children's development, contributing to individual learning journeys and progress reviews.
• Foster strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of St Philip's in all aspects of school life.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are followed consistently.

• Full and relevant Level 6 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g. BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Experience working with children aged 3-5 in a nursery or school setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting all children's learning and wellbeing.

Desirable

• Experience within a school-based nursery.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
