The Governors of Holy Family RC Primary School, Oldham are seeking a caring, patient and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a delightful child in Year 4 with physical needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who is compassionate, positive and keen to make a genuine difference to a child’s daily school experience and independence.

The role includes supporting with mobility, transfers and aspects of personal care and therefore requires the successful candidate to be comfortable undertaking moving and handling duties. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the school and external professionals.

The successful candidate will also support physiotherapy programmes under the guidance of a physiotherapist, help the child access learning and social opportunities and work as part of a highly supportive team committed to inclusion and the success of every child.

Although the role is primarily to provide 1:1 support, the successful candidate will also be expected to work as part of the wider classroom team and undertake duties under the direction of the class teacher in order to support the learning and wellbeing of all children within the class.

Contract/Hours of work: Fixed Term for 12 months, 32.5 hours per week term time + 5 days (39 weeks).
