As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of food and beverage services across a variety of College venues and events. You will support the Senior Food Service Supervisor, Deputy and Front of House Manager in leading a team to maintain the highest service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional front‑of‑house customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Supervise and support food and beverage service at College events and functions.
  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate food service assistants and casual staff.
  • Prepare dining areas, including table settings and presentation to a high standard.
  • Liaise with clients during events and respond to changing requirements promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and College policies.
  • Support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the catering service.

Qualifications

  • Has experience in a similar hospitality or catering role.
  • Is calm under pressure and able to solve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and teamworking skills.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Possesses a good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Is flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards.
  • Has basic IT skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

This is a full‑time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, which includes some evening and alternate weekends on a rota basis and split‑shift working.
