We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and experienced Chef de Parties to join our talented and supportive Catering Department.
Renowned for the quality of our food and professional service, Emmanuel College delivers an exceptional dining experience across a wide range of settings, from high-volume cafeteria service and formal College dining to conferences, weddings and prestigious hospitality events.
As part of our continued commitment to a sustainable and balanced working environment, we are expanding our kitchen brigade with the appointment of two additional Chef de Partie positions. These new roles will strengthen the team, enhance flexibility, and help ensure an excellent work-life balance for our chefs.
About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in the delivery of high-quality food across the College's diverse catering operations. Working alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative and professional kitchen, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to a variety of exciting events throughout the year.
The role offers:
- A supportive and collaborative working environment across two rotating chef teams
- A permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
- A permanent two-week rolling rota with a mix of early and late shifts
- Four split shifts per fortnight and alternate weekends off
- The benefit of knowing your rota well in advance, providing excellent work-life balance
- A varied workload throughout the year, including College dining, conferences, weddings, private functions and fine dining events

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Is passionate about food and committed to high culinary standards
- Has experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Demonstrates excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Has a sound understanding of food safety legislation and allergen management
- Is keen to learn, develop and contribute to a successful team
- Takes pride in producing high-quality food and service
