About This Role

Term Time Only, Monday to Friday, 32.5 Hours per week, 8.30am to 3.30pm

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will lead plans to support students with special educational needs and disabilities who are struggling to engage with mainstream education by assessing student needs and then identifying support for these students and parents/carers. You will particularly focus on leading and managing provision to support students' learning outcomes.

This role involves working closely with SEND leadership, parents and carers, and wider staff to ensure students with SEND have their needs met in the mainstream environment. The post holder will be expected to act with honesty and integrity and uphold the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants, in order to make the education of pupils their first concern. The HLTA will demonstrate values and behaviours consistent with their professional role. We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence.
