Bede Academy is an all-through school in Blyth, Northumberland with two sites (Primary and Secondary). Rated Good by Ofsted, it is a Christian‑Ethos School of Character for the Whole Community. We are seeking the right person to provide outstanding leadership and management for the 3‑form entry primary phase, where everyone is Valued, Challenged and Inspired.
Ensuring all our students have the very best educational start in life, the post‑holder will embed our vibrant, celebratory, and inclusive Christian ethos, which runs as a “golden‑thread” through the curriculum, our approach to behaviour management and personal development, and in our dealings with parents and the wider community – many of whom may not be Christians themselves.
The post holder will play a major role under the direction of the Head of School (and alongside other senior leaders) in delivering the aims and objectives of the Academy, upholding our leadership expectations, and leading inclusion, SEND and safeguarding across the primary phase of a three‑form entry school.
To ensure there are effective and robust systems that support the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all learners, particularly the most vulnerable. Emmanuel Schools Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
Where the post is engaged in regulated activity, and/or an opportunity for contact with children the position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. In addition, as part of the short‑listing process, and in accordance with statutory guidance, we may carry out an online search (for publicly available material) to help identify any incidents or issues that may have occurred that we would want to explore with shortlisted applicants at interview.
