32.5 hrs per week, term time only plus INSET days, working at Emmanuel Anglican/Methodist Junior School in a very supportive Trust. This is a full-time, fixed-term post working 32.5 hours per week, term time plus five INSET days.

Emmanuel Junior Academy are seeking a diligent and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant with good interpersonal skills and high standards. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be working with individuals, small groups and within whole classes to impact on children’s learning. They need excellent communication skills, the ability to engage and motivate children, and will be a committed member of the whole school team. They will also promote positive play and behaviour in the playground during playtimes and lunchtime sessions.

The successful applicant will need to work collaboratively with the class teacher, respond sensitively and confidently to the needs of children. Applicants applying for the post must already hold a relevant recognised NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. The successful candidate must have a minimum grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), and experience of working in a primary school setting.

We seek to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will support the school’s vision and Christian values (you do not need to be a practising Christian to apply), be willing to take part in staff development and be happy to join a caring, supportive and progressive team.
