Responsibilities
About the role:
- Own the end-to-end design of product features across the Emma App
- Design intuitive, compliant user experiences in a regulated fintech environment
- Work closely with engineering to ship fast, iterate weekly and continuously improve
- Contribute to monetisation experiments (pricing, paywalls, annual plans, upsells)
- Improve onboarding, activation and conversion across the app
- Refine and evolve Emma’s design system alongside the design team
- Translate complex financial concepts (ISA, ETFs, credit reports, interest pots) into simple user journeys
- Contribute to product strategy, not just UI execution
This role requires ownership. Our team is small, lean and moves fast.
Who we are looking for:
- 4+ years experience in product design (fintech experience is a strong plus)
- Strong systems thinker who understands flows, states, edge cases and trade-offs
- High product intuition and strong UX fundamentals
- Experience working closely with engineers in fast shipping cycles
- Comfortable designing in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment
- High data literacy and ability to use analytics to inform design decisions
- Ownership mentality and entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
- Based in London and happy to work from the office
Bonus:
- Experience designing subscription products
- Experience in investing, wealth management or personal finance
- Experience running experiments (A/B testing, paywalls, pricing)
- Experience contributing to product strategy
- Experience in a startup or scaleup environment
