Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Own the end-to-end design of product features across the Emma App
  • Design intuitive, compliant user experiences in a regulated fintech environment
  • Work closely with engineering to ship fast, iterate weekly and continuously improve
  • Contribute to monetisation experiments (pricing, paywalls, annual plans, upsells)
  • Improve onboarding, activation and conversion across the app
  • Refine and evolve Emma’s design system alongside the design team
  • Translate complex financial concepts (ISA, ETFs, credit reports, interest pots) into simple user journeys
  • Contribute to product strategy, not just UI execution

This role requires ownership. Our team is small, lean and moves fast.

Who we are looking for:

  • 4+ years experience in product design (fintech experience is a strong plus)
  • Strong systems thinker who understands flows, states, edge cases and trade-offs
  • High product intuition and strong UX fundamentals
  • Experience working closely with engineers in fast shipping cycles
  • Comfortable designing in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment
  • High data literacy and ability to use analytics to inform design decisions
  • Ownership mentality and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
  • Based in London and happy to work from the office

Bonus:

  • Experience designing subscription products
  • Experience in investing, wealth management or personal finance
  • Experience running experiments (A/B testing, paywalls, pricing)
  • Experience contributing to product strategy
  • Experience in a startup or scaleup environment
