KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Ownership for customer-first and customer growth initiatives (new customer acquisition and existing customer growth)
  • Marketing plan development and communication
  • Product marketing planning
  • Marketing partnerships (including major charitable relationships)

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE

  • Design the Marketing plan to deliver the agreed marketing objectives (brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention)
  • Create, plan, and execute the overall marketing strategy, using data and insights to adapt and develop marketing strategies
  • Develop loyalty schemes to engage and retain our best customers and encourage profitable spending behaviors
  • Acquire new customers, drive engagement, and grow revenue from existing customers
  • Maximise LTV through clear, targeted customer journeys across all products and services
  • Manage the Emma Bridgewater Collectors Club (54k members)
  • Maximise and grow collector revenue-building initiatives to engage and support the initiatives
  • Proactively pursue new marketing opportunities, new ways of reaching audiences, and spotting commercial opportunities to increase sales (partnerships, collaborations, new channel developments)
  • Ownership of customer data and CRM system, effectively segmenting the database for targeted marketing messages using direct and paid marketing channels
  • Ownership of marketing budget, implementing regular reporting to give visibility of results to the wider company
  • Collaborate with the Wholesale team to build marketing strategies to maximise customer reach and convert more business (email campaigns, creative POS, digital assets, etc.)
  • Manage the content team to ensure all marketing assets are on-brand and delivered
  • Work with the ecoms team to maximise growth opportunities from subscribers and wholesale clients
  • Manage the briefing, development, and sign-off of all marketing materials – retail catalogues, wholesale catalogues, in-store POS, parcel inserts, etc.
  • Lead, plan, and manage the photoshoots for each seasonal product launch – including writing the shot list and managing the team on the shoot
  • PR: Develop product launch press campaigns for specific patterns, product ranges, and products; work with Emma to deliver brand PR coverage
  • Marketing budget planning and management

Key Interfaces

  • Direct report to Sales and Marketing Director (who is also responsible for Marketing)
  • Direct reports – Content & CRM Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, PR Manager
  • Ownership for ESP platform and analytical tools
  • Close working relationship with Product Director and Merchandising team
  • Close working relationship with Web team and Shops
  • Agency relationships – including printers, mailing house, strategic marketing agency, and others

Skills and Experience

  • Customer insight and understanding
  • Data analysis and understanding of CPA, CPO, LTV, churn rates, etc.
  • Minimum 8 years previous Marketing experience – ideally retail (B2C)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confident in writing and giving marketing briefs
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Confident and calm under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication
