We are looking for an experienced HGV technician to join our independent, busy and well-equipped commercial vehicle workshop in a pleasant rural location to the south of Malvern, Worcestershire. Our dedicated small team specialises in servicing and maintaining Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out 6 weekly inspections and routine servicing of all types of HGVs and trailers
- Fault finding and diagnosis using diagnostic equipment (training will be given)
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out all repairs to Ministry standards
- Accurate record keeping and completion of all relevant paperwork
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance workshop efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Driving licence with a clean driving record. HGV useful not essential
Salary and hours:
£42,000 - £46,000 for 40 hours. Overtime available at time and a half. No shift working.
