Role Overview: The Research Associate is an excellent opportunity to join a company at the beginning of our journey. This is a key role in furthering our research into this fast evolving field and understanding the latest developments. You will be joining an existing team of Research Associates that you will be working alongside. The team is focusing on literature based research with access to the latest publications and sources, taking direction from the Scientific Directors on which areas and topics to focus on.

As a Research Associate you will be responsible for leading research of the latest podcasts, streams and articles in the field, compiling reports for the team and founder as part of our drive to not only understand the sector but drive our research activities, which includes the programmes undertaken by the Scientific Directors but also for our Medicine 3.0 initiatives. Research Associates are encouraged to use their own critical thinking and scientific expertise to provide your opinion. We are actively seeking those who have the ability and drive to use your own initiative, provide opinions and suggestions in an innovative environment. A crucial component of the role is the training and guidance you will receive from the team to further increase your capabilities, plus the chance to explore and understand areas of science new to you, with the purpose to provide you with the platform to develop your career within EMLES Bioventures.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research podcasts, streams and articles as directed by the Scientific Directors
  • Present your findings to Scientific Directors and at regular company meetings
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field
  • Work with a collaborative team on a diverse range of projects covering different scientific disciplines and data sets
  • Active participation in company Research Programmes as directed.

Essential criteria:

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant field of science e.g. biological sciences, pharmacology, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology etc.
  • Research experience in the field of longevity or ageing is advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering reports/posters using your critical thinking
  • Ability to research a range of different source materials and refine into one report.
  • Excellent organisational, self management, and presenting skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
