Role Overview
The Programme Manager opportunity is an excellent chance to join a company at the beginning of our journey. You will be joining a team pioneering research into ageing and how we can increase our healthspan. This is an impactful position that will be influential across the company because it holds the responsibility for tracking, coordinating and delivery of diverse programmes. These programmes cover the entire range of scientific areas we are investigating as well as specific Medicine 3.0 programmes. We are a truly cutting edge eco system using your vision to enable EMLES Bioventures to achieve our potential.
We are seeking a Programme Manager who has experience of managing R&D programmes within the Biotech or Pharma sectors. This is a dynamic role where you will have the freedom to deliver as you see fit, introduce innovation, and novel processes where necessary. Plus, have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of cutting edge research programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the relevant team members to track all programmes that are at differing stages and at varying levels of complexity.
- Design, implement and maintain robust systems for comprehensive progress tracking and reporting frameworks for all programmes.
- Capture and track all potential future projects, ensuring their inclusion in strategic discussions.
- Maintain a comprehensive pipeline of prospective projects, raising them for strategic review.
- Develop & implement the system to track and report the progress of projects against defined plans.
- Identify & highlight project risks to develop strategies to mitigate these through contingency planning with the Scientific Directors.
- Collaborate with Scientific Directors to develop and implement strategies that keep projects on schedule.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and evolution of research programmes
- Ownership of assigned actions in support of Scientific Directors.
- Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Capture all key decisions and keep an action tracker that is proactively managed.
Essential criteria
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) or higher in a relevant life science discipline.
- Proven experience within the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical sectors.
- Demonstrable success in managing R&D programmes.
- Experience in the management of project / programme management systems
- Experience in the reporting and tracking of diverse projects.
- Experience contributing to the strategic direction of projects and novel solutions to challenges faced.
- Adept at coordinating and managing complex multi-party programmes with diverse partners.
- Ability to deliver high quality work in a fast moving, innovative and progressive environment.
Highly Desirable (Advantageous but not essential):
- Experience in specific research areas such as Microbiome, Neurology, Ageing, or Longevity.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup or small company environment.
- Experience in the design and implementation of project management systems, reporting, dashboards etc.
