The team you’ll be joining EML Payments is a global leader in payments transaction technologies, turning everyday interactions with businesses into exceptional experiences. This role is responsible for leading EML’s global People & Culture (P&C) Shared Services function, delivering scalable, efficient and high-quality services that support business growth, compliance and an exceptional employee experience. As a key member of the P&C Leadership Team, you will drive the transformation of P&C service delivery through process optimisation, digital enablement and service model design. You will lead core shared service functions including People Systems, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and employee lifecycle services, ensuring consistent and seamless delivery across all regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Systems, Data and Reporting
    • Own global P&C systems (Rippling HRIS), ensuring accurate maintenance of employee records, data integrity and governance.
    • Champion the digital transformation of P&C shared services through automation, AI and self-service tools.
    • Own and deliver monthly P&C reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
    • Provide data-driven insights and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Partner with the P&C Business Partnering team to design and deliver employee experience surveys and insights.
    • Manage the delivery and reporting of the annual Employee Engagement Survey.
    • Establish and maintain a centralised knowledge base and process documentation to support operational consistency and onboarding.
  • Talent Acquisition (Shared Service)
    • Lead the Talent Acquisition function as a core shared service, delivering efficient, high-quality and scalable recruitment solutions.
    • Partner with hiring managers to ensure hiring outcomes align to workforce plans and organisational needs.
    • Manage the recruitment budget, optimising the balance between in-house capability and external agency support.
    • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that strengthen employer brand, candidate experience and diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Lead the development of compelling external communications (e.g. careers website, job ads, candidate experience and communications).
    • Enhance the visibility and effectiveness of internal communications (e.g. job ads, referral program, promotions/movements of internally filled roles).
  • Payroll and Benefits
    • In partnership with Finance, oversee global payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance across all jurisdictions.
    • Champion cost-effective benefits programs and drive employee understanding and utilisation of available benefits.
    • Partner with the Head of Remuneration, Performance & Reward to manage pay increases and non-fixed remuneration payments to employees.
  • Policy and Compliance
    • Establish and maintain P&C policies, procedures and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
    • Ensure global and regional compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain P&C documentation in line with evolving business and legislative needs.
    • Provide guidance to leaders and employees on policy application.
    • Take personal responsibility to adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls.
  • People Leadership
    • Lead and develop a global Shared Services and Talent Acquisition team.
    • Foster a high-performance, service-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring and development opportunities to team members.
    • Conduct regular performance and development discussions, including bi-annual reviews.
    • Effectively manage performance and behavioural concerns.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Influence
    • Build strong relationships with the ELT, senior leaders and P&C stakeholders to align on service delivery priorities.
    • Act as a trusted partner in optimising P&C processes, systems and service models.
    • Influence stakeholders through data, insights and operational expertise.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience leading P&C Shared Services or People Operations functions in a global company.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and scaling shared services delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of P&C technologies including HRIS (Rippling preferred), ATS, payroll systems and emerging tools such as AI.
  • Experience driving digital transformation, automation and process optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of global payroll, benefits administration and compliance requirements.
  • Track record of ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong capability in reporting, analytics and workforce insights.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
