Step Up with EMJ as a Senior Medical Writer! Are you an experienced Medical Writer ready to take your expertise to the next level? EMJ is looking for a Senior Medical Writer to elevate our content creation, mentor rising talent, and help drive the future of medical education. If you're passionate about leading impactful projects and influencing healthcare communications, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Create high-quality, scientifically rigorous content including symposium reviews, eLearning modules, and KOL interviews across various therapy areas.
- Assist in developing grant proposals by writing educational needs assessments, gap analyses and evaluating module success with outcomes assessments.
- Lead and manage multiple projects, and act as a mentor for junior writers whilst supporting the internal medical writing team.
- Develop and oversee multimedia content such as webinars, podcasts, infographics and interactive articles whilst building strong relationships with clients and KOL's, becoming the go-to expert for high-quality, compliant medical communications.
- Attend international congresses, presenting and selecting key scientific sessions for coverage, keeping yourself and the team ahead of industry trends.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, maintaining the highest scientific quality in every project.
Who you are:
- You have a higher academic degree (PhD, PharmD preferred) in a scientific, medical, or healthcare-related field.
- You bring 3+ years of experience in medical education or medical writing, CME and grant proposals.
- Your organisational skills are top-notch—you can juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while always meeting deadlines.
- Experience in mentoring, to guide junior writers and elevate the whole team’s output.
- Experience building strong client relationships and handling feedback with creativity and professionalism.
- A solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and the importance of compliance in healthcare communications.
Key Information
- Reports to: Head of Client Services
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
- Location: This role is based onsite in our London/Moorgate office
- High Performance working: Up to 2 days flexibility to work from home (FT in office during probation)
We offer a hybrid work environment, balancing office and remote work. To support your training and development during your initial three-month probation, this period will be fully office-based, five days a week. Following this, we anticipate a regular office presence of at least three days a week to maintain collaboration and team connection.
