At Emirates, our Aircraft Technicians play a key role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of the Emirates fleet — including the world's largest A380 and Boeing 777 operations — as well as third-party aircraft.
As an Aircraft Technician, you'll work as part of a professional maintenance team under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE). You'll perform a range of maintenance tasks on aircraft and components, ensuring full compliance with approved procedures, regulatory standards, and manufacturer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and approved structural repairs on aircraft, engines, and components in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory procedures.
- Perform component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the immediate supervisor or LAE.
- Use and interpret approved documentation such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
- Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in aircraft walk-around checks, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and modification work.
- Follow all safety procedures for aircraft refuelling, fluid replenishment, and system charging/servicing.
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and reporting potential hazards and ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in all work locations, including ramp, stands, vehicles, and toolboxes.
- Comply with airport safety regulations, maintain a valid airside driving permit, and adhere to all airside manoeuvring requirements.
- Ensure prompt attendance to allocated tasks to maximize aircraft ground time efficiency and minimize operational delays.
- Communicate any defects or technical findings to the LAE clearly and ensure smooth shift handovers.
- Support station material and stores audits to maintain Engineering Quality Compliance.
- Recognised aircraft maintenance qualification or apprenticeship.
- Relevant experience within aircraft maintenance, repair. A380 experience in particular will catch our attention.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with aviation safety standards, documentation, and quality systems.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, precision, and professionalism.

- A UK driving licence.
- The ability to pass a five year history check including a criminal records check, in order to hold an airport pass.
