This is an exciting opportunity to join us from the beginning and play a key role in establishing and growing our new Manchester‑based engineering team, led by our Maintenance Manager.

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with Emirates, you’ll carry out and certify maintenance on Emirates aircraft in line with company procedures, safety standards and aviation regulations. Working alongside a skilled team of Engineers and Technicians, you’ll help ensure our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards and are ready for safe, efficient and on‑time dispatch.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your technical expertise to one of the world’s leading airlines, support the growth of a new UK engineering station, and contribute directly to the safety and reliability of our global operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance tasks, including total cabin maintenance, ensuring all systems and passenger facilities are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Support safe and efficient flight operations, ensuring maintenance activity is completed in line with required procedures, including fluid replenishment, refuelling and system changes.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Control Centre in Dubai and other key stakeholders to manage technical issues, resolve defects and support on‑time aircraft dispatch.
  • Supervise Aircraft Technicians, helping ensure maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to schedule.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by proactively identifying risks, taking appropriate action and supporting continuous improvement in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Assist with station administration, including materials, equipment handling and maintenance documentation.
  • Support Aircraft on Ground recovery activity and may travel regionally and occasionally internationally to help return aircraft to service.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, with strong working knowledge of applicable aviation legislation, regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance procedures.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an airport pass and airside driving permit for Manchester Airport, achieved with a DBS and five year history check.

You’ll Have An Edge If You Have

  • A full UK driving licence, alongside eligibility to obtain and maintain an airside driving permit.
  • Type ratings on all three Emirates aircraft types: Airbus A380, Airbus A350 and Boeing 777.
  • Experience working with UAE GCAA regulations, including holding a valid UAE GCAA licence or eligibility to convert your existing licence.
  • Previous leadership experience, including supervising, coordinating or supporting aircraft maintenance teams in an operational environment.
