Overview

Emirates is hiring Airport Services Agent – London Gatwick. You will provide a quality service to customers on all parts of their journey through the airport including check-in, boarding, special services, baggage services, and our lounge, in line with company standards. Ensure all operational processes are completed within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and meet the standard and special service requirements of customers at check-in, transfer desk, lounge, special services and boarding gates by adhering to the set service standards and procedures.
  • Adhere to internal operating boarding procedures by ensuring boarding priorities, announcements, hand baggage removal, staff briefing, and equipment availability before the flight.
  • Post-flight duties include reconciling flight administration requirements to support safe and on-time departures, while meeting safety and service requirements.
  • Support colleagues to uphold outstanding customer service levels and assist in ensuring safe and on-time departure of flights.
  • Liaise with Emirates Chauffeur drive company on arrival and departure; ensure eligible customers receive this service and assist those needing assistance on departure.
  • Oversee arrival of bags in the arrivals hall; prioritize bags on the carousel and assist customers with missing or damaged bags, referring to Emirates GHA to complete paperwork. Follow up on missing bags for premium customers.
  • Assist with preparation and completion of pre- and post-flight documentation; complete station statistics and reports; comply with safety instructions and report any damage to property or aircraft.
  • Support the Supervisor in briefing service providers on the day of operation to support seamless customer service.
  • When rostered, support duties in the Emirates Lounge; supervise contracted staff and ensure service standards are met for catering, cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • You must have the legal right to live and work in the UK. Emirates is unable to provide sponsorship.
  • Be able to provide a full five-year work history to obtain an airport ID, including completing a DBS check.
  • Live within 60 minutes of London Gatwick Airport and be willing to work on a shift pattern.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ideal candidates will also have at least one year of airport experience; ability to speak other languages; be passionate about customer service and aviation.

Salary & Benefits

You can expect a basic salary of GBP 28,500 per annum with allowances and shift pay on top; first-year total around GBP 33,900. Benefits include private health insurance, a health cash plan, up to 9% pension contributions, access to employee wellbeing teams, generous annual leave entitlements, and staff travel benefits across the hotel and flight network as part of a global travel group.
