About Us: The Lancashire Cricket Foundation works across the North West to develop and deliver a range of projects, programmes and events designed to engage, excite, inspire and improve individuals and communities through cricket. Established as the official charity of Lancashire Cricket, the Foundation provides governance for the recreational game and high-quality experiences that make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals and communities we engage in order to grow the appeal of the game at all levels. The Opportunity: Lancashire Cricket is seeking a passionate and committed volunteer to support the delivery and development of our EDI Action Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful change within the game and help ensure cricket is a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible sport for all communities. Meetings will be held quarterly, with a mixture of virtual & in-person meetings to be held at a Lancashire Cricket Foundation.
Role Purpose:
- Advance equality of opportunity for all groups, as well as having a focus on the protected characteristics.
- Foster good relationships with the local community, so that cricket can be used to create positive sporting opportunities and increase participation for all.
- Eliminate unlawful discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimisation, and any form of abuse directed at specific groups.
- Support LCF with the pillars & objectives identified by Inclusion team or wider LCF staff.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of the EDI Action Plan.
- Assist with community engagement and feedback gathering.
- Contribute ideas to improve inclusivity across programmes and environments.
- Help monitor progress and impact of EDI initiatives.
- Act as a positive advocate for inclusion within cricket.
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of the key legislation aspects of inclusion and diversity and to be able to promote inclusion and diversity as part of the group.
- To be able to identify key issues and trends that may help to promote the game through inclusion and diversity interventions.
- Experience of working with diverse groups and individuals who have different ethnicity and cultural backgrounds.
- To be able to identify key equality issues and to support the identification and delivery of solutions.
- To be able to successfully network with key staff and contacts within the Foundation and the area in which the Foundation operates.
- To be a positive team player within a group that will provide direction to Directors and staff of the Foundation.

- An interest in sport and community development.
- Proactive, collaborative, and willing to learn.
- Can commit time flexibly to support the programme.
- No prior cricket experience is required—just a genuine desire to make a difference.
