About Us: We are Lancashire Cricket Club, a prestigious sports and leisure organisation based in Manchester. We are currently seeking a talented Conference and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

Job Purpose: To co-ordinate all event details and to produce a function sheet that reflects customer requirements accurately and on time. Contributing to the annual sales target by encouraging repeat business and constantly seeking opportunities to up-sell to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all event details, produce function sheets, manage client timings, menus, special diets, signage, and liaise with suppliers to exceed client expectations.
  • Support the sales team with show-rounds, post-event follow-ups, feedback analysis, and account management to drive repeat business and up-selling.
  • Promote facilities to new and existing clients, generate leads, and assist with business development through networking events, exhibitions, and FAM trips.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, including meeting and greeting clients and handling complaints professionally.
  • Manage internal and client meetings, ensuring effective communication across all relevant departments.
  • Cover Operations Managers when required and provide operational support at stadium-wide events during the season.
  • Maintain accurate administration in booking systems (Delphi.fdc, Secutix), event paperwork, Health & Safety documentation, and invoicing.
  • Implement the sales strategy set by the Head of Conference, Event, and Hotel Sales, focusing on repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Support marketing and partnerships by notifying of key events, facilitating photography, testimonials, and high-profile opportunities.
  • Take ownership of personal diary, lieu time, and ensure office/phone coverage while supporting the wider Event Coordination team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines and coordinate multiple events of varying sizes.
  • Ability to deliver high standards of customer service.
  • Good communicator – verbal and written.
  • Flexible in approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • IT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
  • A working knowledge of Delphi would be very useful.
  • Flexibility in hours and days of work all year but particularly during the cricket/concert season.
  • Sales experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Responsive and proactive with confidence to call prospective clients, agents and other venues.
