We are looking for a motivated, experienced person to join our team as a Communications Manager to support all of our communications and digital content. The post will be on a part-time basis and involve managing our online presence, creating engaging content, increasing our audience, and implementing our brand guidelines throughout the company.
With an office in the UK and in Ireland, we are a small team of technical experts putting sustainable policy and market requirements into practice. We facilitate dialogue with public and private sectors, monitoring impacts on trade patterns often on complex, sensitive, confidential, and high-profile issues around deforestation-free agricultural and forest risk commodities (such as timber, soy, coffee, cocoa, and palm oil). We work closely with private and public sector actors to deliver positive impact at scale through mass market solutions. We analyse, monitor and evaluate data, conduct research, facilitate industry roundtables, engage with and present at industry and government meetings, carry out interviews, plus lots more.
You are an experienced Communications Manager seeking a part-time role, possibly to fit in around childcare commitments/school hours. You have a strong background in a wide range of communications activities, including content creation – transforming information into engaging, social media-ready copy and graphics. You are confident managing and updating websites, as well as writing blogs and articles with minimal support. You have experience developing and enhancing PowerPoint presentations, producing high-quality visual materials, and planning and delivering communications campaigns. You are knowledgeable in brand management and protection, and may have experience delivering training on brand guidelines and visual identity. In addition, you are organised and proactive, with experience supporting administrative and operational processes, including liaising effectively with external providers such as IT teams and website developers.
Experience, skills and qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Communications Management;
- Ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge against the responsibilities above;
- Proficiency in WordPress and Canva;
- Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities with high level attention to detail and accuracy;
- Proactive and collaborative working style;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
Desirable:
- Understanding of how consultancies operate;
- Written and oral communication skills in a second language (French would be ideal);
If you are enthusiastic, willing to work independently but also work well in our small team, and want a job where the HQ office is just 15 minutes’ walk away from the sea, send in your CV with a cover letter, telling us why you would like to work for us.
