We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join Emilia Wickstead as a Press Assistant in our West London Head Office. The Press Assistant is responsible for the smooth running of the Emilia Wickstead press office. Day-to-day this role handles global sample requests to maximise editorial and dressing opportunities, whilst supporting on special projects and administrative work to deliver exceptional and compelling brand communications. This role reports into the Head of VIP and Media Relations.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with press and stylists on incoming sample requests, ensuring timely and professional response and that opportunities are maximised.
- Proactively pitch for editorial and VIP dressing opportunities.
- Manage daily sample movement across press, VIP and internally, ensuring that all requests are recorded accurately.
- Work alongside our agency in New York to maximise sample opportunities.
- Maintain the condition of the sample collections and manage the Emilia Wickstead sample archive, ensuring archiving takes place in a timely manner with diligent attention to details.
- Monitor and record Emilia Wickstead press coverage globally, with a focus on the UK and US.
- Host VIP dressing meetings.
- Compile weekly coverage reports.
- Compile monthly press and VIP reports to record and analyse results.
- Support with database management and administrative duties.
- Assist with seasonal brand shoots.
- Work with social media agency on confirmed Press & VIP placements.
- Support with press & VIP invitations and guest list management alongside our PR agency.
- Support with sponsor management.
- Support with production, logistics and dressing.
- Responsible for the daily management of interns within communications department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in luxury communications.
- Prior experience managing sample collections / inventory.
- General knowledge of and a keen interest in the global media landscape.
- Proficiency in MS Office and databases is required.
- Experience with Photoshop/Adobe Creative Cloud is desirable.
- Professional, discreet and well presented with a keen eye for detail.
- Articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management skills, well organized and has the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Able to be an Emilia Wickstead brand ambassador internally and externally.
- Fluent in English.
- A people person with a sociable personality.
- Proactive & demonstrating initiative.
