Role Description
We are looking for a Strategic Leader (Volunteer) - AI Engineering who will define and lead part of the strategic vision for AI initiatives, driving the development and implementation of AI models to enhance eMigr8\\\'s talent mobility services. This role involves mentoring a team of AI engineers, collaborating with cross-functional leaders, and staying updated on emerging AI technologies to maintain eMigr8\\\'s competitive edge in the global talent mobility sector.
The role will start as a part-time unpaid volunteer role pending when the company meets fundraising or ARR metrics. This role is for a startup at a very early stage (pre-seed). You will need to commit volunteer unpaid time (about 6 hrs a week) to mentor and guide the implementation of initiatives, oversee the junior team and ensure effective execution of the strategic plan. You may also need to execute some high-level strategic tasks occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead part of the strategic vision and roadmap for AI engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with eMigr8\\\'s mission and business goals
- Oversee a part of the design, development, and implementation of AI models and systems to enhance eMigr8\\\'s talent mobility and relocation services
- Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (e.g., product, marketing) to prioritize AI features and integrations that drive business impact
- Implement MLOps best practices, including model versioning, automated deployment, and monitoring
- Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and industry trends to maintain eMigr8\\\'s competitive edge
- Occasionally execute high-impact AI engineering tasks and provide architectural reviews
Qualifications
