The Role
As a Party Wall Surveyor, you will provide expert advice under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, and guide clients through a range of neighbourly and boundary matters.
You will:
- Party Wall Responsibilities
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify notifiable works.
- Draft and serve Party Wall Notices in accordance with the Act.
- Prepare, negotiate, and agree Party Wall Awards.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed Schedules of Condition.
- Neighbourly & Boundary Matters
- Draft and negotiate access agreements (e.g., crane and scaffold licences).
- Research title documents, boundary lines, and rights of way.
- Provide technical advice on easements, access rights, and potential disputes.
- Technical & Project Oversight
- Maintain up-to-date records, trackers, and correspondence.
- Review construction methods and monitor site progress where relevant.
- Represent the firm at client meetings, site visits, and networking events to support growth.
About You
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Party Wall surveying, including Schedule of Condition reporting.
- Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong grasp of building methods, property law, and neighbourly matters.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); AutoCAD experience is an asset.
- Personal Attributes
- Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.

Location
