Friendly and chatty support worker wanted in Glossop. emh care and support is an organisation that supports adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions to gain independence through 1-1 support.
We are three ladies that live in Glossop. We are looking for someone friendly who can involve us in our support and enable us to be active. We like to have a balance between quiet time at home and activities out and about. Some of the things we like are:
- Playing games
- Cooking and trying new foods
- Walking and being out and about on foot or by bus
- Going shopping
We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:
- Friendly, supportive, well presented, and punctual
- Chatty and happy to talk to us about our passions and interests
- Positive, kind, patient, and encouraging
- Supportive of our skills
- Involve us in our support and choices
- Someone who is kind and caring and can show compassion
We do enjoy our food and would benefit from a person who can cook simple meals and help us learn new recipes. It is essential that you are able to work sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays. It would also be preferable if you can drive but it is not essential.
Whether you have lots of experience or are new to care, we want to hear from you because full training and induction is given.
