We are looking for a skilled and motivated voids supervisor with proven experience working in a void property environment to join our Void Team at emh. You will lead a team of multi-trade operatives and contractors, scheduling work by using NHF schedule of rates, delivering high-quality Void repairs across the East Midlands, ensuring emh delivers a cost-effective service that meets our void standard, ensuring our customers receive a safe and comfortable new home.
As we aim to grow the services that emh deliver internally, it is important that you are committed to continuous improvement and have a commercial awareness that ensures the repairs we deliver represent value for money. You should be an experienced people leader and will be able to motivate and lead the team with a trust and an output-based performance culture. You will directly line manage a team of operatives and will be responsible for managing their performance and engagement, ensuring emh delivers works on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which you will demonstrate working closely and in conjunction with other stakeholders across the business, including our Trade Union representatives, Maintenance Planning Team, and both our Housing and Customer Service Teams. Emh has a co-regulation model, and you will actively engage with customers to address complaints and improve the service delivery and may participate in resident forums and scrutiny activity.
As a supervisor, you will regularly be travelling to meet your team on sites across the East Midlands, and will need to regularly attend our head office, and so the ability to travel is essential. Emh currently provides supervisors with a company vehicle for business-related travel on a non-contractual basis. Our package for this role includes:
- A company vehicle (this is provided on a non-contractual basis to be used for business use only).
- 39 days annual leave (including bank holidays and statutory days), increasing to 44 days with length of service.
