emh care & support help people to live enjoyable, independent lives. Our care and support day services in the Derbyshire Dales and NE Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire offer daytime support and occupation to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. We are a flexible service built on people’s interests and offer a wide range of activities and support that make a difference to the people using our services and the wider community.
The role
We are now recruiting Activities Organiser roles for our services in the Derbyshire Dales, based in Matlock and Bakewell, helping us provide high standards of care and support for service users with a learning disability and/or autism, in line with care and support plans and the organisation’s policies and procedures. The Activities Organiser role will involve facilitating/supporting a wide range of activities and experiences with people, promoting individual rights and personal dignity, while providing people with every opportunity for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development.
Applicants will be able to work between 8.30 am and 4pm weekdays and we are considering recruiting part and full time staff.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with good administrative and organisational skills. Experience in providing practical support and training to people and experience working with adults with learning difficulties and/or autism would be advantageous. But most of all we want to hear from people that are curious about people and want to help connect them with the things they love doing. A knowledge and awareness of equal opportunities and the need to maintain a high level of confidentiality are essential.
