Location: Memorial House, Coalville, Leicestershire

Hours: 35 hours per week, working Monday to Friday

The Role

We are looking for a Finance Assistant (Payments) to join our busy Payments Team based at our head office in Coalville, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career within Finance.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all purchase ledger transactions from invoice receipt through to authorisation using our computerised ledger system. We believe in supporting your professional growth and once you have successfully passed your probationary period, there is the potential to study for an AAT qualification, offering a brilliant opportunity to further develop your finance career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validating supplier invoices using our computerised purchase ledger system.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders.
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Dealing with invoice and payment queries.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be educated to a GCSE level or equivalent. You will have good ICT and communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Problem solving and liaison with internal and external customers is key for this role and you must be a committed team player with the ability and willingness to learn new skills.
