JOB TITLE: Graphics Operator
ABOUT THE ROLE
A BRIEF SUMMARY
Gravity Media is looking for a Graphics Operator to join our production team, delivering high-quality on-screen graphics for live sports broadcasts and other productions. Working closely with producers, directors, technical teams, and editorial staff, you will prepare, test, and operate graphics for live and post-production content, ensuring accurate and engaging visual storytelling. You'll thrive in a fast-paced broadcast environment, responding quickly to live developments, troubleshooting issues under pressure, and maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout transmission.
The successful candidate will have experience in live production environments, strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe After Effects, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. A passion for sport, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a flexible, proactive attitude are essential.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
·Learning to prepare and operate graphics for various live broadcasts, post-production work and outside broadcasts
·Preparing and setting graphics up in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
·Prepare, check and test graphics in advance of live broadcasts
·Adhere to production instructions within both control room and studio settings, carrying out all assigned tasks within the live broadcast rundown
·Monitor ongoing developments and respond promptly by matching appropriate graphics to on-air content as it becomes available
·Troubleshoot and analyse issues in highly pressurised environments adhering to tight deadlines to produce a successful outcome
·Provide production teams with knowledge and guidance on the capabilities and use of graphics equipment, acting as a point of support when required

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU
·Have a background in Graphics and Design
·Have previous Cap Gen experience
·Have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe After Effects
·Have experience in television production, live television studios or outside broadcast
·Have excellent computer and IT literacy skills
·Are highly organised and have excellent attention to detail
·Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
·Work effectively individually and in a team
